Free papayas at my house! I have a fridge full of papayas… a centerpiece full of papayas… a tree full of papayas… and I’m the only member of my household who eats them!
They are good at room temperature with plain yogurt and pecans. They are good chilled with a squeeze of lime. They are good plain (with all the seeds scraped out).
Interestingly, there’s a chemical in the goo around the seeds that inhibits sprouting. I washed the seeds of my very first harvest and planted some. They’re growing. So soon I will have MORE PAPAYAS. Help us all. Or come help yourself!
