Sasebo to Fukuoka

I get the feeling most of you people (Hannah…Mum) are mostly just being polite when you say, “Ooooh, right” when I answer, “No, I’m still in Fukuoka.” So here is a nice map which I should have posted the day I left:

Sasebo is about an hour and 40 minutes southwest, on the north end of a natural harbor and an hour or so from the westernmost point of mainland Japan. Kyushu, Japan’s southernmost main island, is a separate island but still considered mainland.
