Hot weather in Belgium can be solved by kayaking the cool River Lesse in Dinant. Past castles and under trees, between geese and fish and alongside ducklings, occasionally bumping into other kayakers or each other in the shallows.
And after kayaking, beer at Maison Leffe , the brewery dating back to 1240 that stands high on the riverbank across from Dinant’s citadel and cathedral.
It’s fun to have my parents visit in the SUMMERTIME!! Even if it’s 100 degrees!
