WE HAD A GREAT TIME! Fun with Grandma and Pa, fun with Aunt Hannah, Ezekiel and Jane, just FUN!
After a few days I had this odd sensation. Then I realized it was being relaxed. When Chris is gone, I am very aware that 100% of protecting, feeding, cleaning, dressing, comforting my sweet kiddos falls to me. Sometimes it is easy—a delight. Sometimes it is so constant, it’s completely overwhelming. When Eloise was sick and Isaac had nightmares, I was up every couple hours around the clock for weeks.
Paradoxically, lots of extra people around brings chaos and simplicity. What do we do? Play outside together. Play trains together. Go to the store together. Go to the park together. Make food together. Eat food together. Drink wine together. Read bedtime books together. All the same stuff, just…together.

This started out as a Mother’s Day post. I was so thankful to be home with my parents on MOTHER’S DAY! My mom is the best. The best teacher, best example, best counselor, best friend. Thanks for being my MOOOOOOOM!
