It’s a whole new year. But we can’t quite seem to shake off some of 2013. We wrote “2013” on the sand and watched the waves wash it away. We wrote “2014” above the high tide line, as per tradition. Let’s hope it sticks.

Your tradition is neat, Mari. I've had a year I wished to wash away too, 2011 was like that. Please consider me as a friend you can count on if ever needed. And my door is always open for you and your family and (of course) a fresh pot of coffee is always ready to be brewed.
