Baby Safari

Who thought of babies?! A lot of people told me, “You’re gonna love this baby so much you just can’t imagine!” when I was pregnant. I thought they were…you know…lying.

But loooook at this baaaaby! Isn’t he precious?! I just loooove him! I sing him this lullaby that always calms him down and doesn’t really have a tune:

We put you in your stroller and we walked along the river
We watched all the leaves fall down ’til you began to shiver
Refrain:
‘Cause you’re our baby Isaac and I’m your mama Mari
And life as far as you know is just a big safari!

We put you in your Bjorn; we took you to Kyoto
You’re our precious baby so you go wherever we go. (Refrain)

When it was time to leave Japan we put you on an airplane
We crossed the Pacific; your parents must be insane. (Refrain)

(Slowly) And now we live in Florida, we live ‘longside the ocean
We sing songs and play all day, we’re living in slow motion. (Refrain)

Now that it is spring we’re gonna go and see some chickens
And later on this summer, we take you to Fort Pickens.
‘Cause you’re our baby Isaac, and I’m your mama Mari
And life as far as you know is just a big safari!
