Getting The Scoop

I hardly expected any responses to my facebook status that read, “Mari Saugier Krueger is wondering whether it would be lame to name her scooter. She already hugged it. Any suggestions…??” But I got some! Suggestions included, but were not limited to: Red Fury, Red Lightening, Zipper, Ruby, Roxy, The Earhart, Cookie Alexandra and Piglet (because it’s smaller than a hog…too cute).

But the one suggestion I couldn’t pass up pulls it all together: The Scoop! It works because in theory I’m a journalist–always after the scoop, and it’s a Honda Scoopy. Plus that sounds like a scoop of ice cream = joyful and summery. Oh, my favorite adjectives. Along with delightful and charming. Perfect!!

This is me with The Scoop after its first full day of freedom. We braked, we scooted, we zipped…it was great. Waaaaaaaaay better than a car with no AC.
