This was the last day of April, a grouchy day before we left Norfolk. I loaded the kids into the stroller because I could not take all the crying inside any more. All Eloise needed, it turned out, was 10 days in Texas. She started sitting up. She started eating everything (everything except baby food anyway). She even slept slightly better and stopped having three poopy diapers every night. This was less than a month ago, but she looks so little!
All of Norfolk was covered in azaleas. They looked like big strawberry and vanilla ice cream scoops plopped everywhere. “Look at those pretty flowers!” was a constant refrain from the back seat of the car or stroller.
