Stopover

Grammie and Grandad stopped by! The kids were delighted!! We got to celebrate Chris’ birthday…and my birthday…and Isaac and Eloise’s birthdays! We showed them the MacArthur Memorial on Norfolk’s Cannonball Trail, and ate dinner at Freemason Abbey.

The kids loved ripping into their presents…and we loved watching them. They were so excited. Thanks, Grammie and Grandad! Have fun on your trip! Glad we got to see y’all!

Note: The MacArthur Memorial was like a kid-sized chunk of history museum. Chris and I agreed recently that our favorite type of cultural activity is historic stuff (Williamsburg, Jamestown, this kind of thing), followed by the symphony (Chris) and musicals (me). I like seeing how everyone, everywhere, fits together in this big historic puzzle. So far the kids are good sports!
