So I’m packing…again…this time for three weeks in Texas for my sister’s wedding, immediately followed by a stay at Shunkoin Temple in Kyoto! Yay. The point is, I realized this morning I first posted to this blog one year ago. At that time Chris and I were in Jacksonville, FL, had follow on orders to Japan, my sis and I were planning The Great Sister Trip of 2008, I’d just gotten back from a wedding in Costa Rica and I had no idea the first year of blogging would be rounded out with barely-planned trips to Germany, Austria and China. Whew! And I think my cheeks were still puffy from an ill-fated but necessary wisdom-teeth removal. 🙁 I was in the middle of monitoring federal court filings for Bloomberg News (the best job ever) and spending lots of time with Chris taking weekend trips to St. Augustine and up the Georgia coast. I thought I might post a lot of campy “The Year in Photos”-type pictures, but it’s midnight in Japan, Chris is in bed, and I’m not done packing! But I did just find my navy patent peep-toe flats, so I’m getting close to the end, thank goodness. Texas, here I come!!
