Here’s what’s nice about being home: the kitties! The night I got home from Sasebo I dropped my bag in the entryway and collapsed in a heap on the couch, every arm muscle numb from dragging heavy things around, especially my purse with my laptop and my bag packed full of the multi-weather requirements of spring: Sweaters! Boots! Leggings! Umbrella! Hat! Overcoat! My arms were too tired to lift the remote, so I just sat. I heard Pounce run upstairs in a tail-fluffed kitty whirlwind, then race back down again and into the living room. He jumped up beside me, dropped his favorite toy—my ‘Happy New Year’ headband with a black feather, then sat back and looked up at me, purring, before crawling into my lap for the evening. The next two days he was glued to me anytime I was home. Aaaaaaawwwwwww! (He’s over it now…sitting on the windowsill meowing)

How cute. How amazing that Pounce’s favourite toy is the headband! It looks very well-preserved and not chewed or clawed!
You know, I’m going to suggest the obvious here– if you had children, you could talk about them instead of the cats. ๐
Little Maris and Chrises running around… that would make for some good stories.
I like your posts about furry children! I’m trying to talk Maxwell into another puppy! We’ll see…
So cute! I love posts about your kitties ๐
How cute! I love those kitties and so does Jeff. Better check our luggage before we head home or Jeff might smuggle them out of the country ๐
I have to say I came across your blog recently and I love reading your posts. I’m interested in going to Japan in a few years and reading your blog has taught me a few things. I look forward to your updates ๐
Also your cat is just adorable!
